USA WEEKEND’s Make A Difference Day is the nation’s largest day of volunteering. Last Oct. 22, 3 million people reached out to 20 million others in need of food, clothing, shelter and love. Now, you’ll read a bit about the wonderful actions taken by Make A Difference Day efforts selected for 10 national awards, three city awards and the All-Star award.

Thursday, April 19th, each honoree receives a $10,000 donation for charity from Newman’s Own at a Washington, D.C., luncheon. You can follow the event online via Facebook and Twitter, where we’ll post updates, images and video of the day.
